Open Your Heart
Dear Friend of Heart,
Thank you so much for your past support of the Longview Go Red for Women® campaign. This year, our event will be held on Saturday, February 5, 2016, at the Maude Cobb Convention Center. We are excited to continue spreading awareness for a cause that benefits Longview directly; saving the lives of our loved ones affected by cardiovascular diseases.
Thanks to the generosity of supporters like you, the national Go Red For Women campaign has made great strides since its inception over a decade ago.
· We now have women-specific symptom and treatment guidelines for cardiovascular disease and stroke; this is the direct result of funding research into how cardiovascular diseases differ in women and men.
· Cardiovascular disease death in women has decreased by more than 30 percent over the past 10 years.
· That translates to approximately 285 fewer American women dying from heart disease and stroke every single day
Please take some time to think about those loved ones in your life and how something so simple like education and research can save their lives. We graciously ask you to join us by making a pre-committed gift, so that we can recognize your generosity throughout the year, and at Go Red for Women® Luncheon on February 5th.
This cause is close to our hearts, and we know that together, we can help save lives right here in Longview. Every dollar counts in this fight against heart disease, the number one killer, so we gratefully THANK YOU in advance for your tax-deductible charity donation, and your consideration of support. Our non-profit IRS tax-ID is 13-5613797.
Every donation is meaningful and brings us closer to reducing death and disability from cardiovascular disease. On behalf of every life that is affected by cardiovascular disease, we thank you for your consideration of support.
With heart-felt thanks,
Julie Woods
